Live everyday like you were dying
For tomorrow may never come
You just may wake up breathless
As your flesh comes undone

One’s nightmare may be crawling
Just beneath the bed
Or it could be watching you
So silent overhead

Its’ eyes just keep on staring
Prying for your fear
This bitter endless torture
Subsides its’ thirst for tears

Living off your tension
Pulsing through your veins
This little red eyed monster
Is finally unleashed

Biting down so reckless
To bring you to your knees
This little vengeful monster
Watches as you plead

Its laughter so insidious
Its smile so taunting
Its memory so vivid
Its presence so haunting

My little angry monster
Sent to break you down
I watch you as you suffer
Helpless on the ground

A smile shown so devious
A cackle so unknown
I call to my little monster
As your pain is shown

I hold him in my arms
And happily walk away
So hurt and knowing you are now
On the ground where you remain
