Watchful

I see the happy people
Walking all around
Smiles on their faces
With each step that hits the ground

I see the laughing children
Their innocence to real
The happiness they all possess
I wish I too could feel

I sit here on a park bench
My hands so cold and pale
The tears they stain my eyes
As I think of all I've failed

How can they all be happy?
What do they have that I do not
They all can smile so easily...
Am I part of some vicious plot?

I don't know why I am the one crying
I don't know why I am the one sad
I don't know why I am the one dying
Maybe I'm the only one who's bad

I wish I had someone to talk to
I wish I had a hand to hold
I wish I knew what I were supposed to do
I wish I could remember what I was told

I'm all alone in this misery
I'm the only one in tears
I'm the only one thats missing out
On all those happy years
